Daughter Of Moon has a powerful and well-educated team of women as its backbone. Believing that every girl, irrespective of her religion, age and caste deserves the right to study and excel academically, these women support ‘Education For Girl’ with their heart & soul.
Dipti Sharma: President
One agenda Dipti always had within her was empowering girls by helping them grab the honor of going to schools. She willingly stands against the barriers that pull back girls from being educated. Understanding how lack of capital to afford school fees, buy uniform and purchase all the needed educational supplies prevent a large proportion of girls from studying, she lifts Daughter Of Moon with her strenuous efforts. In her words, ‘unless a girl is given the access to attain education, she can stand neither for herself nor for her family’.
Mrs. Mariamma Thomas: Trustee
The self-driven lady has extensively worked with a number of NGOs and is an active member of Daughter Of Moon. With an impressive experience in the field, she truly believes that education is the sole key to success and life’s opportunities. Mrs. Thomas desires to use her voice to let the world know that an educated girl not only earns stable money but contributes in her family’s as well as community’s welfare. As per her, when given the chance to showcase true potential, women play a great role in breaking the wall of poverty and rising above it.
Zeba Khan: Trustee
While perusing her B.Ed, Zeba went in many schools for internship. While visiting schools in the rural areas, she realized that the ratio of girls getting education was quite less. Furthermore, she found that the level of education being provided was not up to the mark. Also, it was incapable of channelizing young girls in the right direction of standing on their feet. This was when she decided to work towards strengthening the meaning of ‘education for girls’. Zeba dreams our country to be a nation where women have equal participation in everything like men.
Heena Sharma: Trustee
Currently pursuing her post-graduate diploma from IMT CDL in CS Executive Program, Henna lives by her mission of ‘making a better world for our future generation’. She is passionate about education for girls & women empowerment. Owing to her deep interest in such causes, she has participated in different programs implemented by various organizations during her school and college days. Heena brings extensive experience in ‘People Strategy & Learning’ approaches to create dynamic and flexible programs. An integral part of the cause, she never minds going beyond the boundaries to support the girls.
Manjul Mishra: Trustee
A strong-minded person, Manjul aspires to see every girl seeking education and creating her own identity in the society. She firmly believes that it is very important for women to know their rights, work in a sustainable job, feel self-dependent and free from the shackles of society’s baseless philosophies. She joined Daughter Of Moon because she felt that it the best platform to nurture lives of underprivileged girls and assist them in showing their worth to everyone. According to her, girls must be able to make & take their own decisions.
